![]() ![]() If you use liquid soap you can fill the reservoir with an entire bottle of soap and it will dispense it one load at a time. ![]() You can also wash and fry a small load in just the washer. The wash and dry great, have tons of settings and the dryer will adjust automatically to your washer setting. You don’t have to leave the machine open at all. I love them! They have no smell! They are made with microban which prevents mold and mildew and they have an actual vent system so when you finish washing for the day you hit the button and it vents and dries the machine. About 2 years ago we bought a new house and I gave that set to my daughter and did a ton of research. I never felt like my clothes got clean, I couldn’t reach the bottom to get the clothes out and they were constantly out of balance. I had a lot of build up that had never been touched but the other cleaners but it was all gone after running another cleaning cycleĪfter hearing horror stories about front loaders I bought the Samsung fancy top loaders with no agitator and the wash basin about 7 years ago and hated them. It got rid of the smell and most of the hard water stains. It’s less expensive and has performed better than the Affresh or Tide. It comes in a blue and white box and the name of the product as listed on Amazon is Washing Machine Cleaner Descaler 24 Pack – Deep Cleaning Tablets For HE Front Loader & Top Load Washer, Septic Safe Eco-Friendly Deodorizer, Clean Inside Drum And Laundry Tub Seal – 12 Month Supply. I don’t think that this is making a hyperlink, but you can copy and paste it into your browser. So, “TikTok made me buy it”! You can find it on Amazon. Then I saw a recommendation of one on TikTok. I’ve tried both the Affresh and the Tide cleaner and my washer still smelled of mildew. I’m not the original commenter, but I have found a cleaner that does a great job. I’ve decided that after all this time, I don’t want to buy more used appliances. So here I am, for the first time in my entire life, ready to buy a brand new washer and dryer. It’s only done that twice in the last year, but it’s still inconvenient. And sometimes, the dryer decides that it doesn’t want to heat up, so it just blows cold air. All of that, along with the rusted and leading bottom corner, means that it’s really not worth putting money in it to fix it. But a couple of days later, the agitator stopped working completely, and the water wouldn’t drain out. (I could get it started if I turned it manually for a minute or two). So needless to say, a little bit of water leaking out from the rusted corner of the washer with each load of laundry really can’t make this room much worse than it already is.īut a few days ago, the agitator in the washer stopped working reliably. Every time it rains hard, water comes in under the back sliding door. The room is ground level (the rest of the house is on a pier and beam foundation about 18 inches from the ground), and whoever built this room created the floor by putting two layers of heavy plastic directly on the concrete (which I’m assuming was the original outdoor patio) followed by a layer of particle board, topped with two layers of thin commercial-style carpet. They’re durable and reliable, and because nothing on them is computerized, they’re cheap to fix if something goes wrong. And that’s precisely why I’ve kept buying these simple Kenmore washers and dryers for the last 20+ years. Well, that’s been almost 10 years ago now. I’m pretty sure I got the set for somewhere around $300 or $350. Then when we moved into this house, I figured that I’d eventually get a brand new washer and dryer, but I decided that while I waited until I had a nice laundry room or laundry area, I’d purchase another Kenmore set just to hold me over in the meantime. And those followed me to our new house in Oregon after Matt and I got married. I sold those when I moved to Turkey, but when I came back to the States, I remembered loving those so much that I searched for and bought another Kenmore set for my apartment. It’s actually what I purchased when I had my own apartment in my 20s. (Not this exact set that I have now, but the Kenmore 70 Series in general.) I did a little googling, and the Kenmore 70 Series dates back to the 70s. I’ve actually used these for much longer than 10 years. ![]()
